Eurotank’s Canter expansion
Specialist petroleum industry contractor Eurotanks Environmental has purchased six Mitsubishi Fuso Canters to meet the needs of a service contract for 450 Tesco filling stations. The Canters, which include two 7.5 tonne trucks and four 3.5 tonne models, are comprehensively equipped to cope with the demands of the job.The two larger vehicles have box bodies, from AL Musselwhite, that incorporate laboratory areas for testing fuel, showers and changing rooms. They are also equipped with 1 tonne tail lifts for handling palletised equipment, underfloor generators and compressors along with heavily protected tanks that can carry up to 1,000 litres of fuel.
The 3.5 tonne Canters have Musselwhite platform bodies to carry skid-mounted compressors. They are also equipped to tow trailers with up to 2,000 litre diesel storage tanks.
“Our 7.5 tonners are among the most impressive Canters in Britain,” says Eurotank managing director Edward Wheeler.
“They offer very high payloads that allow us to carry a good half tonne more equipment and materials than we could on other 7.5 tonners. Yet they’re also very compact and manoeuvrable, which helps when we are working on petrol forecourts.”
