Renault dealers focus on service
Renault is aiming to improve service to business customers with the launch of its first Pro+ dealership. The firm has had Business Centres within some of its dealers since 1999, but says that the Pro+ status will only be awarded to dealers that take service to new preset levels. The firm will appoint 22 Pro+ dealers by the end of 2010 and hopes to have half in place by the end of this year.
The first is based within the flagship company-owned Renault London West outlet on the A40 in Acton, while the remaining Pro+ outlets will be in a mix of Renault-owned and private dealerships around the country.
To achieve Pro+ status dealers will have to install larger service ramps, capable of handling up to 6-8 tonnes to cope with the heavier Master range that will be launched next year. Pro+ centres will have fully trained sales and service staff who can provide advice on every aspect of commercial vehicle ownership.
The dealers will carry increased stock of new and used LCVs, with an expanded line-up of demonstration vans available, including conversions. They will also promise to offer rapid diagnostic inspections work, extended operating hours, suitable courtesy vehicles and a personalised finance proposal within 48 hours.
“We are delighted to be launching our first Renault Pro+ centre,” says Renault UK managing director Roland Bouchara.
“Combined with the recent strides we have made in the quality of our products, this new initiative will enable us to deliver even better levels of service to our local business customers.”
