Navara V6 option

Nissan has announced a series of updates for its Navara pick-up and Pathfinder SUV ranges. Chief among them are the availability of a 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine and revisions to the existing 2.5 litre four cylinder motor.

The V6 engine will offer a massive 231hp with a torque output of 550Nm. The Euro 5 engine has particularly strong low end torque, allowing an idle speed of just 650rpm. And 500Nm of torque from just 1,500rpm.
The engine uses exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and a diesel particulate filter (DPF) to meet Euro 5 emissions levels. Oil change intervals are set at 12,500 miles.

The 2.5 litre engine now comes with 190hp, up 19hp and 450Nm of torque, a rise of 47Nm. Despite the power gain Nissan says the engine offers lower fuel consumption and
CO2 emissions.

The new models get a revised bonnet, grille and bumper, adding 80mm to the overall length of both vehicles. A new headlamp design and a variety of new alloy wheels complete the look.

Top specification LE and LEV6 models now get ESP as part of the package, along with a premium navigation and audio system. The revised models will go on sale in April with V6 models following two months later.
